sarapepitone.com is essentially a portfolio of my published work.
About me: I have more than ten years of communications and media experience, developing strategy, guiding senior administrators, writing and editing for print and digital platforms, creating and optimizing content and user experience, articulating messaging, and managing projects of all sizes from conception to execution.
I've developed hundreds of pages and stories for internal and external communications, for clients in varying industries. I am often praised for my ability to articulate difficult or confusing information. I've owned, operated and sold a small business, worked for major investment banks and non-profits, and graduated from culinary school.
I am currently providing digital communications counsel to the Columbia University School of Nursing, and managing the creation of a print magazine celebrating the school's 125th anniversary.
I am a careful, thorough, efficient reporter, writer and editor, a lifestyle expert who leans food, drink, design, real estate, travel, and profiles.
My work has appeared in: Afar, amNY, Bloomberg.com (and the terminal), CNN/Money, Commercial Observer, Edible East End, Fodor's Travel Guides, Fortune Small Business, Gotham Magazine, Gourmet, Interior Design, Modern Bride, Montauk Pioneer, Plum Hamptons, The Hartford Courant, The New York Observer, The New York Post, The New York Times, The Shoreline Times (first clip ever!), The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Time Out New York, Travel & Leisure
I like sparkling wine. And sports. Scoreboard Gourmet (formerly highly trafficked; now rarely updated; completely created by me) was once a forum for considering both (sports + food).
One of my Modern Love pieces (that's The New York Times column) made it into the book - - pretty cool.
